Is it necessary to install an RCD (Residual Current Device)?

Each EP2000 inverter needs to be separately equipped with an external AC switch on the grid side. There is no mandatory requirement for the use of RCD on the grid side. If it has leakage protection function, its rated leakage action current is required to be ≥ 100mA. If multiple inverters are connected to the total leakage protection device through their respective external AC switches on the grid end, the rated leakage action current of the total leakage protection device is required to be ≥ the number of EP2000 transformers x100mA. It is recommended to install RCD at the incoming or branch circuit of the sub electrical box on the standby side, and local regulations shall prevail in the county.

How much power can the EP2000 provide?

The EP2000 can deliver up to 20kW of three-phase power (400V), or 6.6kW per phase (230V), which is enough for most household appliances. You need at least 2 battery packs to get started. Without solar, the output is 10.5kW with two B700 packs and the output increases to 15.5kW with three B700 pack. For the full 20kW output, four or more packs are required.

How much does the EP2000 energy storage system (ESS) weigh?

The EP2000 inverter weighs 60kg, the HV800 battery controller weighs only 19kg, and each B700 battery weighs 72kg.

What’s the capacity of B700?

Each B700 battery has a capacity of 7,372.8Wh. The EP2000 ESS can be scaled from 14.7kWh to up to 51.6kWh with 2 to 7 battery packs.

Can I charge the EP2000 with three-phase 400 V gasoline generator? Can the generator start charging automatically when the battery level reaches the set SoC low value or at a specific time?

Yes, you can charge it with three-phase generator. You can also configure the SoC low value or specific times for automatic generator charging in the app.Please refer to the APP user manual for specific details.

Can I use the system to charge an eletric vehicle?

Yes. You can use EP2000 ESS to charge either three-phase or single-phase electric vehicle.
